01How is a project estimate developed?

The estimate starts with the actual project—not a generic square-foot number. We talk through your goals, walk the property, confirm existing conditions and access, and define the work clearly enough to price the labor, materials, coordination, and likely site requirements.

02Will C.W. Walker handle permits and inspections?

When the project requires them, permit coordination and inspection scheduling are managed as part of the construction process. Requirements vary by project type and locality, so the exact responsibilities are confirmed in the scope before work begins.

03What affects the project schedule?

Scope, design decisions, permit timing, material availability, weather, existing conditions, and trade sequencing can all affect a schedule. We set realistic expectations up front and keep the next step visible as the work progresses.

04Can you work in an occupied home or operating business?

Yes. Renovation plans can account for access, dust control, temporary protection, utility interruptions, working hours, and the need to keep parts of the property usable. Those details are discussed before the work starts.

05Do you manage the whole project?

C.W. Walker can coordinate the work from planning through closeout, including scheduling, trade coordination, quality checks, inspections, changes, and the final punch list. The exact scope depends on your project and agreement.

06What areas do you serve?

The primary service area is Virginia’s Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula, including Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond, Westmoreland, Essex, Gloucester, King and Queen, King William, Mathews, and Middlesex counties. Nearby projects can be considered based on location and scope.
